London Fashion Week SS13 - Day 5.
11:27I love experimenting with fashion, don't you? It's cray that one day I can be Minnie Mouse and then a few days later I can resemble a Kanye West prodigy! Oooh that rhymed so effortlessly, maybe JUST maybe I really should be!
This was the last day of LFW so obvs a SHABANG'tidy exit was mandatory. This look was so fun to style. What exactly am I wearing? I hear you ask! Well...
"That Sh*t Cray" tee - Michael Agwunobi
Boohoo Leather Dress.
Leather Leggings.
Red Snakeskin Lita Style Platform Heels.
Vintage Gold Chain.
Russian Red Mac Lipstick.
That shit cray tee is inspired by 'Comme des Garçons' and the famous quote from Kanye West and Jay Z's "N****'s in paris" - I absolutely love this tee! It got so many compliments throughout the entire day. It's an example of when a great designs does all the talking! Literally it does all the talking. Normally I smile when LFW "papparazi" (magazines/blogger/photographers) take street style snaps but this time I stuck with theme and kept it cool, laugh out loud :)
The Boohoo leather dress was already featured on LFW day one, it's so versatile it seems! Last time I used the top part of it and this time I used the bottom part of it! I also used my belt from LFW day four (hidden) to keep the dress in place! I actually bought the dress from Boohoo nearly two years ago with every intention to wear it one day, it was a bit big for me at the time but I kept it hoping to fill in it which is what I evidently did (yay!), I guess you COULD call me a sort of clothes hoarder as I have been called many times! Fashion is what you make of it :)
If Leather isn't AW12, then I don't know what is. There's something about leather than screams EDGY (in a cool way of course) so that day I tried a bit of eye liner to stay with the edgy theme, we all know I don't wear makeup I must sound like a broken record I know - apologies! However, eyeliner helped to make this outfit. Rather than going for black lipstick as I did on day 3, I wanted to include hints of red in my outfit to compliment the heart of the top. My other chosen hint of red alongside my red lippy are my gorgeous red snakeskin heels. These platform ankle boots are definitely ankle breakers, I don't dispute that however they're worth it for fashion right?
As for my hair, it was BIG just the way I like it. Wanna know how it was achieved? Well remember the bun from Day 4? Well yeah that's it. I literally slept with that exact bun. I of course nourished my hair with a bit of coconut oil as per usj (usual) and then unraveled my lion mane! Fluffed fluffed fluffed, shook and went! A fluff and go? Defo, a fluff and go. I just love VOLUME. I also love frizz, I know I know it's hashtag controversial but I do. Believe it or not, it's easy for me to achieve a sleek, frizz free looks if I wanted to and I sometimes do but MOST of the time my hair is big and out there :)
The main show of the last day was FASHION FRINGE sponsored by Davenport Lyons and I was so happy to be able to attend and be seated! It was so popular, the stand-in line was CRAY. By the way, thank you so much to all the sponsors and contributors for the "The Look & The Law" that came inside the Fashion Fringe swag bags, I actually sbsolutely love it - it's a staple read now! Talking about the tote bag, all those that were lucky enough to get one know how amazing they are - the reverse side reads "don't follow fashion, LEAD IT" this is something I'm ALWAYS saying and you've seen so many times on my blog. Now I can rock a bag that's ahead of fashion with FASHION FRINGE written in neon green. Anyone that attended London Fashion Week or read about it knows NEONS are going in, check out my take on neon as "Minnie" here and here. As I keep on saying, look out for coverage in a mag I'll be in! I'll keep you updated :) I can't wait to share with you the outstanding talents of the Fashion Fringe 2012 winner Haizhen Weng announced by Christopher Bailey (the Chief Creative Officer of Burberry and Chair of Fashion Fringe 2012-2013), you don't want to miss it. It's ever so refreshing to witness the start of something new with such potential.
I call the following pics my behind the scene shots and guess what you have BACKSTAGE access!
