So anyway, I'm taking part in the most exciting challenge called HASHTAGMySummerRefresh (or simply just #MySummerRefresh if you're not weird like me) hosted by Collect Plus. Basically what we have to do is sell unwanted clothing (no longer needed or worn etc) on eBay, send the items using their AMAZING service (which I will tell you more about in due course) and using the money made to basically buy new stuff. As if that wasn't fun enough, they're giving us £250 to create a brand new outfit and look for summer! :o like, what did I do to deserve that? How amazing! The idea is creating something new from scratch by getting rid of the things we no longer use. Hence my title for this post, "Out With The Old". Who remembers when I showed you my wardrobe in my London Fashion Week post aka Minnie Mouse special. Did I also tell you I've got boxes and boxes and suitcases of more clothes stored in the garage? I mean clothes hoarding is a problem right? I even had to buy a rail to help me organise myself for this challenge, it collapsed 5 times (no exaggeration)!
I love any opportunity to take pics of objects and things so this was super duper totes amaze balls for me, even though my camera kinda broke in the process #awks. Anyway, check out some of the pics I took for the items up on eBay.
Firstly, Collect + is totally my new BFF. I know I know I keep on changing my BFFs but for real, their like my sistas from a different mista, my brotha from another motha, and all that #coolkids jazz.
Ever heard of that company.. ASOS? FYI, they use Collect+ (they offer three different services: Collect, Returns, Send - hence why the process with ASOS is oh so smooth). One of the best things I love about it is that everything is traceable. OMG like imagine sending something and then the other person saying that they didn't receive it, how AWKS would that be? Worry no longer my friend, Collect+ is here to help LOL #cheesy I know I know.
If you buy things online with CollectPlus, you can easily return them free. Perfect for it an item was a bit too big or small, ahhem my life. My body shape is troublesome, I'm hourglass meaning my waist and hips are like unidentical twins (sorry for the lame similie) haha in other words my waist is significantly smaller than my hips, for example my waist can fit a size 6 or 8 but my hips generally screams "my mind is telling me yeahhh but my body is telling me HELL NO" which is a total R Kelly remix. Get it? Nope? Awks! Anyway, let's get back on track with the post. What shall I buy with the £250 guys!? Should I do a "Back To School/Work" or a "Dress For Your Body Shape" or integrate both perhaps? Tell me you want to see! Might even do a cheeky video ;)
Until next time, you beautiful people!

ReplyDeleteTWO HUNDRED & FIFTY POUNDS, you're so lucky!!
ReplyDeleteI love the little gif haha! So awesome, I think you should do a body shape post or get as much of your A/W wardrobe sorted as possible. I somewhat struggle with the same situation, my body is 3 different sizes! I'm super small around my chest (size 6), generally a size 8 but my hips? Size 10 all the way. It's a hard life, eh? ;)
