London Fashion Week is fast approaching so I thought I'd create a little note-to-self slash ultimate checklist sorta thing which I hope can help you too! Why may it help you? I hear you ask! Well Bootyfurl & London Fashion Weekend are giving you the opportunity to WIN two pairs of tickets (for two lucky winners) to London Fashion Weekend which is the ultimate fashion week experience.
London Fashion Week checklist:
Phone - you may wanna take some instagram snaps or some vines or even some keeks. Or like maybe you'd like to make a phonecall? I mean like that's what phones are for right? Where is my Nokia 3310 when I need it..
Memory Card - this season my new 32gb Sandisk Memory Card from MobyMemory will be my right arm. I cannot wait for LFW honestly and having such a huge memory will be a life saver for you, you and you. London Fashion Week is aesthetically immense and they're beautiful things and people everywhere so if you don't have your large capacity memory card yet gurrrl you better head over to MobyMemory - they have the best prices too but shhh it's a secret!
Camera - that should probably come before memory card right? Anyway, doesn't matter what camera you have nor what you do, if you're at Fashion Week gurrrl you better capture the moment! I try to take my Canon DSLR everywhere but LFW is defo numero uno!
Business Cards - I was right next to the editor of Vogue last season, she was lovely. Did I have my business cards handy? Find out next time.. dun dun dun.
Snacks - the lovely press lounge often has yum snacks and drinks, examplé Vitamin Water buttt I'd defo suggest having something on you even if it's a fruit bag. Back to back shows tend to get tiring! You need energy :)
Bag - where are you gonna put all these things? I hear you ask from a distant. Space and style.. hmmm Harvey Nichols you have some beautiful bags, do you have any suggestions? Maybe a gorgeous Marc by Marc Jacobs black leather with gold accents? Oooh sounds verrry #fash darrrling. Oh and the name is Too Hot To Handle, so you know I was sold already! Double oh, it's a Tote so it's TOTALLY amazing.. Totes amaze balls.. get it? Tote.. No? Awks!
Enthusiasm - there is something called the Fashion Week Fever, yes. You do get tired and the doctors are yet to find a cure but I wouldn't change a thing - the opportunity to see such amazing shows is something I've dreamed of since childhood and to think I've been doing so for the past few years is unreal!
Comfy shoes - joke it's fashion week darrrling. Haha doublé joke, bring them just in case!
Ego? There are a selected few unnecessary divas anywhere you go.. Leave that at home. Ain't nobody got time for that.
If you're like me and you're the most last minute person in the world and don't know what you're wearing yet with a week to spare, fear not! Most important thing is ensuring you have a few killer items or accessories, they can be very simple. Sometimes the most simple things scream HELL YEAH I'M TRES #FASH but in a silent and effortless way. Asymmetric skirts are beautiful, pair this skirt with a simple crop top or statement tee and you're good to go. Guess what? The same concept can be utilised with skater skirts and pencil skirts! Was that a sigh of relief I heard? Oh you're welcome honey!

DeleteThanks for the Giveaway - I would bring my Mulberry Lily bag, carrying my small Nikon Coolpix camera, phone for contacts, notepad for sketches, comfortable boots, healthy bag of fruitbowl flakes to keep my energy levels up watching all those shows, my specs, a copy of Vogue (with all the latest Designers in), my latest Autumn/winter jacket from the high street, mixed with vintage pieces. I don't use Twitter, but follow this blog.

I'd bring a DSLR ("borrowed" from my mum!) complete with empty memory cards, the notepad I don't go anywhere without, a bottle of Cherry Coke (my number 1 go-to for an energy boost) and sunglasses to make me seem just a bit cooler than I actually am. As for clothing/shoes, it would probably take me forever to decide!

ReplyDeleteIn my bag you'd find several cameras. My Canon DSLR would be the trusty main one of choice, followed by my wonderfully surprising Diana F because I know it would capture the true atmosphere of fashion week and finally my camera on my phone for tweeting pics on the go!
You'd also find a sharpie and sketchbook for those moments of inspiration. And last but not least my make up bag, because I can't get spotted not looking my best - knowing my luck I'd be that awkward looking dork in the background of some fabulous Fashionista's photo, which gets splashed around the media!
